Natural resources are absolutely essential for human life. All over the world, human wealth and the development of countries is based on the use and consumption of different resources like water, land or raw materials. Ideally, natural resources not only contribute to wealth and develop the economy on local and national level, but also reduce poverty and bring stability to countries. Yet, for a sustainable use of natural resources, the protection and preservation of the environment is of eminent importance. Therefore, FAKT is engaged in the broad field of Natural Resources and is offering a wide variety of services in the following areas:
Natural Resource Governance
Digitisation is playing an increasingly important role in development cooperation and offers not only new information and communication technologies but also a multitude of new opportunities for cooperation between the various actors.
FAKT provides conceptual and technical support to the GIZ team of the project in DR Congo. In cooperation with GIZ, we are developing an app that can be used to continuously document information on the implementation of project activities and to measure their impact.
Wolfgang Heinrich, veteran expert on the Do No Harm approach and involved in its development from early days, provided a one-day training for FAKT consultants in October 2019 on how to implement the Do No Harm approach.
