In the course of the reform of vocational education and training systems, competence-based systems of vocational education and training (CBET) are being established in many countries of sub-Saharan Africa. Comprehensive capacity development of vocational training personnel is a key success factor for the effective implementation of these approaches. On behalf of GIZ, a team of German and African experts designed and conducted advanced training courses for master trainers from Kenya and Botswana in both countries. The implementation of the newly acquired methodical knowledge was supported by a blended-learning concept.
- Design of a blended learning concept for training of master trainers in “Competency-based Education and Training”
- Implementation of a series of training seminars by a team of two trainers
- Distance coaching to participants through web-based platforms
