Cross-sectoral Study and Outcome and Impact Analysis of Six Vocational Training Programmes in West Africa

Vocational training and promotion of youth employment is one of the strategic priorities of EED and its partners in West Africa. This in-depth study aimed at assessing and comparing the outcomes and impacts of three different vocational training approaches (formal and non-formal vocational training and improved apprenticeship schemes) applied by 6 partners across the region as well as identifying the key challenges and lessons learned.

Results of the study will be further elaborated in partner consultations with the aim to institutionalise the learnings and to define steps and measures for improving the effectiveness of training models and programmes.
