Development of Workshop Concept on Food Security and Gender
Brot für die Welt developed policies on food security and gender in 2018 that was distributed decentrally through partner workshops. The target of this consultancy was to develop a workshop concept and materials to present the main content of the policies on food security and gender, discuss them in an interactive manner, and to support a dialogue with partners on how to implement gender-responsive agroecological projects.
FAKT in cooperation with Wort für Werk developed the workshop concept, materials and a handout: “Achieving Food Security and Gender Equality”. The written summary of the two policies fulfills two main functions: the conceptional framework for the implementation of the didactical elements and a product which participants can take with them after the workshop.

- The summary was developed on the basis of the policies as well as preliminary considerations by Brot für die Welt for the conjunction of both policies.
- On the basis of the summary, an animated powerpoint presentation was developed. This incorporates illustrations and links to interesting videos of other organizations.
- For a two-to-four-hour event, the didactic approach and interactive elements were developed to enhance learning and exchange among participants.
