Final Evaluation ASRE51 ACT Tsunami Appeal
3 years after the Tsunami in South East Asia, ACT International commissioned a final evaluation of its largest ever coordinated appeal (ASRE51: Asia Earthquake and Tsunamis) with which the ACT International alliance had responded to the Indian Ocean Tsunami in December 2004.
The final evaluation is referring to the ACT Evaluation Mechanism and Guidelines, including analysis of the achievement of various specific objectives outlined in the typical terms of reference (ToR) framework for ACT Appeals.
The evaluation focused mainly on outcome and impact of this programme. All the evaluation teams followed the same approach designed by FAKT, using simple and participatory tools to identify and analyse the changes in people’s lives and in the organisations induced by this programme.
