Training of Trainers (ToT) on the European Union’s Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR) for smallholder farmers in Southeast Asia

The EUDR Engagement project, launched in 2023 by the EU and BMZ, aims to raise awareness and promote understanding of the EU’s Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR) in Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Implemented by GIZ, the project supports EU delegations in these countries by providing sectoral expertise, engaging stakeholders and promoting compliance with the EUDR.

FAKT developed and piloted smallholder training and training of trainers (ToT) methodologies to clarify the EUDR and its requirements to small-scale farmers and SME stakeholders. In addition, FAKT prepared future trainers to conduct high-quality training courses with the developed content.
